چکیده
This paper examines two pieces of Ru porcelain glaze excavated from the Qingliangsi kiln site. Compared with R1 glaze, R2 was fired at a lower temperature and cooled slower rate. The chemical composition, microstructure, corrosion mechanisms glazes were analyzed by optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), micro-Raman spectroscopy, transmission (TEM), diffraction (XRD). results show that morphology is mainly dissolution three-dimensionally interconnected calcium (Ca)-rich phase around anorthite, small droplets distributed in rows, including needle-like wollastonite precipitated droplet aggregation. In addition, glass crystals forms many white pits, physical interaction between corroded soil deposition contaminants alters color texture glaze.

The Earliest Chinese Proto-Porcelain Excavated from Kiln Sites: An Elemental Analysis
In June 2012, the Piaoshan kiln site was excavated in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, which hitherto proved to be the earliest known Chinese proto-porcelain kiln. Judging from the decorative patterns of unearthed impressed stoneware and proto-porcelain sherds, the site was determined to date to the late Xia (c. 2070-c. 1600 BC), the first dynasty of China. Here, we report on proton-induced X-ray emi...

متن کاملThe effect of repeated porcelain firings on corrosion resistance of different dental alloys
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of repeated porcelain firing process on the corrosion rates of the dental alloys. MATERIALS AND METHODS Cr-Co, Cr-Ni and Pd-Ag alloys were used for this study. Each metal supported porcelain consisted of 30 specimens of 10 for 7, 9 and 11 firing each. Disc-shaped specimens 10 mm diameter and 3 mm thickness were formed by melting alloys...
متن کاملThe Grand Challenges in Electrochemical Corrosion Research
Corrosion is the process of degradation or failure of a material resulting from a chemical reaction between the material and its surrounding environment. It is an indispensible research area in material science and engineering, because corrosion resistance characterizes the stability or durability of a material, which is one of the most important material performances in application. Compared w...
